Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
109 month old baby girl, not passing urine regularly, its 11 PM here and since morning only once has she passed urine. stool was loose and that was over 24 hours ago. Not eating, relying on mothers feed. Otherwise baby is active and playful, laughing around also. Pl. advise
Thanks for putting up your query at HealthCareMagic. Is the child's age 109 months or 9 years and 1 month or is it an error in the information that you have provided? A baby is supposed to pass urine on regular basis. If not, it may mean dehydration especially when associated with passage of loose stools and not feeding well. Please give the baby ORS. In case of breast fed babies, breast milk is a better choice than ORS. Give the baby proper diet and if required take her to a doctor who can evaluate the situation better.
I hope that helps. Feel free to revert back with further queries if any.
