Do Blood Clots From The Vagina Make An IUD Fall Off?

Hello, yesterday in the morning my iud was expelled, and since i have been having blood clots. Is this normal i am menstruating. Did my iud fall off because i have blood clots or am i getting them because it was expelled?

Hi,

When using IUD the blood clots and increased flux is common. This does not mean that IUD has fallen. It creates a more open cavity in uterus leading to clots and increased flow.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
