Do Debris In Uterus After Abortion Be Flushed Out During Periods?
I was pregnant and the baby stopped growing in the 8th week. first I waited to be gone it self but I wait to the 11th week and no thing gone. I went to the hospital on 24/5 and take the medicine that make me deliver the baby , and I started to bleed and after houres some thins gone out . but when I make the ultrasound the doctor said that there still small peaces and I have to make cleening. But I didn't clean and waited to clean it self. On 9\6 I made ultrasound and the doctor said that there is very small peace and it will go out with the next period. Is it right that it will go with the next period or I have to make D&C ? And If pregnancy happens before the period is it dangerous since my uterus is still not fully cleaned ???
Hello, I have gone through your query and followed your concern. It is true that you should have had a check curettage when retained products were diagnosed. you are lucky that you did not develop either heavy bleeding or infection. A single retained product usually will go out with the regular menstrual bleed. If another pregnancy happens during this cycle, which is very rare considering your recent abortion, there would not be any hindrance to the implantation of the embryo. The product often gets lysed in utero with no further harm. Yet, a careful follow up is a must in view of your history. Hope this helps.
