Hello,
Absolutely yes, continuing gentle exercise during
pregnancy (as per your Gynae-Obst doctor’s advice) will help to maintain posture and reduce
back pain. It helps maintain better pelvic flexibility, which is helpful in managing weight gain. Also lowers the risk of
gestational diabetes and
hypertension. Never try to induce labor naturally before 39 weeks, unless your treating doctor advises, as the baby’s lungs and brain still develop until then.
Avoid herbs or
home remedies unless approved by your OB-GYN. Every pregnancy is different. As you move towards 36 weeks, do regular walking, but be careful; do not get tired. Avoid sedentary lifestyles. From 38 weeks onwards, gentle movements, stretches, and positions that help your baby move down and prepare the body for labor is recommended. These exercises should be done under the observation of a physiotherapist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
