Do High Fever, Chills And Cold Feet In A Person Who Has Recovered From Cancer Need Immediate Medical Attention?

Good Morning Dr. Andrew, My husband was recently diagnosed as cancer free but I know there are certain meds he should stay away from. He woke up this morning with a 99.8 fever, chills, cold feet & hands he says he thinks he has a kidney infection, but I don t see those signs, except he hurts on the inside. Should I take him to a clinic? Deb Bonomo

Hello,

Acute fever or chills means there is a possibility of urinary tract infection. Other possibilities like pneumonia or malaria or dengue or it may be a part of lymphoma.

Use tablet Paracetamol thrice a day for five days. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
