Im 25 years old, female, 5 2 height, weighing 69 kilograms. I just want to ask if i need a booster shot since i have more than 500mUI/ml result in my anti-hbs. there interpretation of result are 12mUI/ml- positive. do i need a booster shot?
If you've completed the 3-shots course then you're OK. Otherwise, you should do all 3 doses of the vaccine. The schedule for vaccination against HBV requires 3 injections. The second injection should be done at least one month after the first. The last injection should be done at least 5 months apart from the second. Make sure that you receive the adults' dose - the children's dose is only half the adults' dose.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Panagiotis Zografakis, Internal Medicine Specialist
