Do I Put Myself In A High Risk Of HIV Transmission?

Dear Dr,matthew mintz i had a protected sex with a sex worker but i did a cunnilingus oral sex with her after 20 days of exposure i did a 4th generation the architect combo hiv test and the result nonreactive. Do i put myself in a high risk of hiv transmission? my test is accurate enough to stop worrying i am facing a severe anxiety disorder.

First of all I will tell you that the risk of HIV transmission with oral sex is very low and your 4th generation the architect combo HIV test is also negative after 20 days post exposure so you need not to worry at present. You had done combo test that is 99% accurate after 3 weeks post exposure still I will advice you to go for repeat testing after one month to be completely sure about your status. Thank You
