Do Impetigo Blisters Always Burst?

Do impetigo blisters always burst? I have reoccurring impetigo and this time have been using tea tree oil on the blister a long with fucidin ointment (which i normally use). Usually within the first day it starts to ooze but this time since using the oil it has not.

Hi,

It seems that you may be having impetigo bullosa. It is a form of pyoderma caused by staphylococci. There may be bullous lesions which rupture in few hours to few days. There may be oozing after ruptur of bulla. The scab may be formed. You consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis. Antibiotics like cefixime 200 mg twice a day for few weeks may be taken. Antiiflammatory drugs like nimesulde 200 mg twice a day may be taken. Antibiotic cream like sisomycine cream may be applied. After few weeks of treatment you might be alright. Internal diseases, DM and anaemia should be ruled out. I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
