Hello,...I have low thyriod and I am taking Thyronorm 25mcg .I become fat again and again after weight lose.So I want to know...is my thyriod can normal ever ? If it can so how long it takes to improve?Can this medicine makes my low thyriod normal ? If yes so how long I have to take this ? And After my low thyriod normal can I stop to beeing fat again and again ? This weight gening issu is a big problem to me.And I want a baby do can I continue this medicine deuring my pregnanci?
Hi thanks for using healthcaremagic... Thyronorm is a synthetic thyroid hormone.It is a safe drug to use.We give Thyronorm for Hypothyroidism (low thyroid levels).. To tell the wheather to continue or not we have to check for TSH/FT4 and Anti TPO values...clinical examination is required to look for Goitre(palpable thyroid). During pregnancy it is advisable to keep the TSH around 2.00..Hence if you are planning for pregnancy it is better to take Thyronorm to keep the values in the optimum levels.Thyronorm is safe during pregnancy. As the TSH values come down ,the body weight also come down. Continue Thyronorm ask the doctor to increase the strength if required... thank tou....
