Do Migraine Headaches Go Away After Vomiting?

my 6 year old daughter went to bed and right away started complaining of a headache above her right eye. I thought she might be dehydrated and had her drink a cup of water. She was covering her face with a blanket to keep the light out. When I had her look at me, she couldn t open her right eye fully because of the pain. A short while later, she vomited and her headache went away. She has a temperature of 99.3. It sounds like a migraine to me, but I don t want to overlook anything more serious. Is it typical for migraine headaches to go away right after vomiting?

Hi
Welcome to HealthcareMagic

I went through the history and it seems your daughter is having migraine headache associated with vomiting.
Migraine headache is usually associated with vomiting and it will not go away with vomiting. Since your daughter is also having fever, do consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly depending on the underlying cause.
Do write back to me for further questions.

Hope this is helpful yo you.
