Do Mood Fluctuations Change The Regular Periods Pattern ?
I am 42 years old. I always had fairly regular periods. This past month, I got my period twice. The first time it came a week early. Then it stopped and a week later I got it again. I am moody, emotional and have become an emotional eater. What does this mean
As you are 42 year old, it is around perimenopausal period. So some irregularities in periods are common. It's actually the hormonal changes that bring mood fluctuations during this perimenopausal period. So, all these mood and emotional changes as well as period disturbances are a part of perimenopausal changes.
I recommend you to have very good and nutritious diet with more vitamin E and vitamin D. Also, exercise daily for at least 45-50 mins 5 days a week. Have at least 8 hours of sleep at night. Daily meditation will help you with mood changes. Aim for a stress free lifestyle as much as possible. Spend more time with children and pets if any. Take care of your eating habits. Frequent small meals are better than binge eating.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
