Hello.
A cord loop near or around the baby's neck is a common finding on ultrasound.
By your report it can be a single loop around neck or free loop lying near the neck. But do not worry, a majority of times no adverse event is associated with a single loose cord.
Your doctor will keep a check on the amniotic fluid, fetal movements and blood flow in the cord on next scans.
A single cord loop is not an indication for a cesarean delivery.
Hope this is helpful.
Take care.
