Do Pain In The Knees While Kneeling Down And Numbness In The Feet Need Medical Attention?

Hello, I feel down a couple of steep steps while traveling in China 2 weeks ago and landed on my knee. I have no pain other than when I kneel down on it. It is excruciating! There is also some numbness on the outer part of my knee cap. Do you think it will heal on it s own or should I see a dr?

Hello,

This type of injury is quite common. It usually heals up in due course of time, if you don't have other associated diseases like diabetes, hypertension or any other metabolic disorder. You may take an occasional tab of paracetamol & multivitamin.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nirmal Chander Gupta, Orthopaedic Surgeon
