Do Patients Become Immune To Antidepressant Drugs After A Period Of Time?

My Mother in law has been on anti depressant drugs from 1998 - The medications she had were - Repoise, Amixide, Qutan, Cipralex Lifodep, Rivotril etc Lonazep, - Now currently she is taking the following medicines - Venla 75, Lithosun 300, Cipralex and trapax . My question - Are antidepressant drugs taken continuosly fo more than 15 year effect the nervous system and are they harmful. Do patients become immune to the medication after a period of time

Hello,

I have studied your case.

Yes all these antidepressant drugs are changing chemical neurotrasmission to brain.
When taken for long period of 15 years leads to fatigue to neuro transmission.
These medication have adverse effects on nervous system and liver and kidney.

Over the period of time tolerance to these medication increase and patient become unresponsive to particular dose ,so you may need to increase dose and frequency.
