Do Shortness Of Birth And Dizziness Post Alcohol Consumption Indicate TIA?

I had a stoke in the past last weekend I had a couple of drinks then, suddenly I felt off , I went outside to get fresh air and it was if I was bombed , but not really drunk I could no longer stand and my husband had to help me walk then suddenly I felt like I was going to vomit we got home and I went to sleep immediately no signs of hangover the next day, just extremely tired and not myself could I have had a TIA

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The fact that you had some drinks makes this confusing. Defining a TIA or not is best done with an immediate MRI of the brain with diffusion/perfusion tensor imaging performed as soon after the event as possible but in any case not more than 24 hrs. So based upon BEST information available from your description of things I'd say that the likelihood of your having had a TIA is very very small.
