.I just had a steroid injection for wheezing and shortness of breath. WIll be there be side effects. I forgot to ask. I am 62 years of age, recently had pneumonia, otherwise in good health. Short course of steroids have no complications. Only long-term like taking steroids for more than 1 month have complications. Please do take steroids as inhalation, it doesn't have side effects.
