Misuse of Anabolic steroids in males can cause the following: Acne & decrease in libido, decrease in sperms production due to testicular atrophy (reduced size), gynecomastia, & impotency. Nolvadex is basically an anti-estrogen mainly approved for the treatment of breast cancers which are dependent upon estrogen for their growth. During a steroid cycle, Nolvadex is used by bodybuilders who are sensitive to estrogen buildup. Estrogen buildup can lead to many concerns, foremost of these is the occurrence of gynecomastia (growth of breast tissues in men) and subcutaneous fat and water retention. This is also not a therapeutically approved indication of Nolvadex and hence it is also labelled as a drug of misuse. Regarding the recovery from the adverse effects of the anabolic steroids, it may take a few days to several weeks to restore the normal hormonal pattern of the sexual life.
