Do Vomiting, Diarrhea And Lack Of Clarity In Speech Need Immediate Medical Attention?

Hi there! Last Wednesday, I felt as though I had food poisoning. I ate bojangles and within an hour threw up twice and had diarrhea. Since Thursday, I have also experienced some excess saliva in my mouth making it a little difficult to speak normally. Any thoughts? Today is Monday and I feel absolutely fine except my speech. I have not gone to the doctor yet.

Hello,

It can be a sign of a stroke or TIA (Thrombotic ischemic attack).

You have to consult a physician or neurologist and plan for an MRI scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
