Do White Bumps On The Palate And Weight Loss Require Medical Attention?
my husband has little white bumps all over the roof of his mouth and his teeth are deteriorating rapidly. He has lost over 40 lbs over the last year. His dentist keeps treating the tooth decay but says the white bumps are dysplasia, and as of yet not done any biopsy. should I be alarmed ?
Weight loss of 40 lbs in a year is not normal at all. The white bumps on the roof of the mouth could be dysplasia, but dysplasia is not a sign that should be ignored.
I would advise you to visit an oral surgeon and get the lesions examined. They are experts in diagnosis by the appearance of the lesions and have skills to perform biopsy, too.
