Do You Have Any Suggestions For Headaches Along With Fever And Nasal Congestion?

I have had a head cold all week. My symptoms are headache, fever between 99.8 and 101.8 on and off, nasal congestion and a bad dry hacking cough. I have been using extra strength Tylenol for the fever and started out using delsym cough medicine. Nothing seems to take these symptoms away. Do you have any suggestions?

As per your history, it may be viral fever. along with tab. tylenol, you can take tab. metelucast and tab. levocetrizine. Take steam inhalation and do saline gargles twice a day. keep yourself hydrated. Use nasal saline drops. Take care.

Hello dear,welcome to Ask a doctor service. I reviewed your query and here is my advice. At this point of a week of symptoms not getting better you may need antibiotics. You can use cephalosporines such cefixime or augmentine.Both this antibiotics work great on upper and lower respiratory tract infections.
