hello my partner and i were fooling around, he didn t actually penetrate. i missed period that month but got it after 20 days. but net surfing says it s possible to have bleeding in 1st trimster. i took pregnancy test which came -ve. can i still be pregnant?

What you have read is right. But since you have done the pregnnacy test and it is negative, I don't think you need to worry. If you are still worried, you can repeat the pregnancy test again after a week.
