Does 4 Cm Nodule On Left Side Of Thyroid And Tilting Of Neck Indicate Torticollis?

I have a 4 cm nodule on the left side of my thyroid (since February) and suddenly I ve been noticing my neck tilting to the same side. Could it be torticollis? The nodule is very painful but a more throbbing, sharp pain. It also swells up and this includes my lymphnodes as well. I ve been to an ENT and am having my thyroid removed soon. However, In the past two months, the muscles have been aching and extremely sore. Now my head tilts to the same side. Torticollis runs in my family on my fathers side; his uncle, aunt, and mother all had it. I m afraid my thyroid condition may have triggered it! :(

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

Tilting of neck on the same side of sore muscle is torticolis. However Your thyroid nodule has no relation with torticolis. It is due to muscular cause.

For thyroid nodule go for ultrasound thyroid and FNAC and take treatment accordingly.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you very good health.
