Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My doctor has me taking a week of methylprednisolone tablets 4mg due to severe pain after a caudal injection. I am having headaches and am taking acetaminophen to control the pain to little effect. Online says this drug could react to aspirin. Am I ok ? As well I am peeing several times thru the night with little to no sleep. Thank you
Usually, Aspirin and Ibuprofen drugs are suggested to stop before an epidural injection (caudal injection) to prevent bleeding problems during and after the procedure.
That is why we usually recommend other painkillers like acetaminophen. If the pain is unbearable should get back to your doctor for further assistance.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Albana Sejdini
