Does Amoxicillin Cause Pain During Urination?

Will amoxicillin make it burn when you urinate? Also I masturbated in the shower this morning using head and shoulders so I don’t know if that caused it to burn when I urinate or it’s the antibiotics? It burns really bad and I’ve gone about 6 times since this morning and it’s still burning. It even continues to burn when I’m finished.

Hello,

I do not really think that your burn is due to amoxicillin. Amoxicillin helps to treat these kinds of pain.

You should first make a urinary analysis with urine culture test to find out any urinary infection. If this does not find out anything, then you should take an appointment with your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Elona Dashi
