Does Arimidex Cause Rheumatoid Arthritis?
yes I have been taking arimidex for 5 years and have recently breen diagnosed with rematoid arithritus.the doctor said I could quit taking it but I am scared and wondering if this arthitus is a side effect of the drug.im worried about the cancer coming back.

ARIMIDEX (anastrozole)-Antineoplastic aromatase inhibitor is used in advanced breast cancer treatment to cause an oestrogen deprivation. Such treatment can induce benign arthralgias. Rarely there has been report of isolated case of rheumatoid arthritis following Aromatase inhibitor therapy.
