Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.
As per your complain small sores and peeling under tongue seems to be due to side effect of taking the antibiotic Bactrim while coating over the tongue that is tan or brown seems to be due to
Hairy tongue and it can occur due to poor
oral hygiene leading to accumulation of dead cells, bacteria and fungus over the skin surface, overgrowth of papillae, long term intake of
soft diet, taking medication containing bismuth like
Pepto-Bismol..
I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles..
Gargle with 1:1 solution of
hydrogen peroxide and water..
In case if there is pain gargle with a numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine..
Suck ice pops..
For coating over tongue clean your tongue using a tongue scraper..
You can also brush your tongue gently by dipping in hydrogen peroxide and water solution..
Chew raw foods and fruits as it helps in cleaning the tongue with frictional motion..
Gargle with antiseptic mouthwash..
Limit the intake of tea and coffee..
In case if still there is no improvement in 15 days consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
