I am afraid I will get another yeast infection elsewhere by taking this, plse help
Yes, By-Mycin can also cause yeast infection. By-Mycin is a broad spectrum (tetracycline) antibiotic that can disturb the natural balance of microorganisms in your body which can result in the overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms including yeast. This can be prevented by brushing your teeth and floss regularly. Limiting the amount of sugar-containing foods you eat. f you are using dentures, make sure they fit properly and don't cause irritation. Clean your dentures daily. Over the counter antifungal creams (nystatin or clotrimazole) would also be helpful.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
