Does Bystolic 5 Mg Cause Low Libido And Low Heart Rate?

been on bystolic 5 mg for about 18 months.works ok but have started having side effects.low libido low heart rate less than 50.i am 47 male on .on losartan hctz 100/25 also.tappered off the bystolic over2 week period.bp still same without it.125/75 to155/105

Hi, thanks for posting your concern in the HCM.
I think Nebivolol (Bystolic) is responsible for low heart rate and if your pulses go down to as low as less than 50 bpm, you should consult the prescribing doctor for revision of your treatment regimen.
Regarding low libido or sexual dysfunction due to Nebivolol, I can only say that there is no concrete research based evidence regarding the same. Some researchers have found some associations, but in controlled clinical trials, nebivolol has an adverse effect profile, similar to placebo, in particular as it relates to fatigue and sexual dysfunction.
My recommendation is you should consult your physician or cardiologist as early as possible for revision of treatment regimen because of bradycardia.
