Does Cannabis Smoking Cause Impairments In Children?

I was reading an article on pot, and it was talking about pregnant moms smoking pot for morning sickness. It talked about impulse control, visual memory and attention span in school years. Is this true? I ve heard about drugs and the children I keep having impairments. I just wanted to know more about his drug because it is so widely spread.
