Does Cefalexin Cause Insomnia?
Will Cefalexin cause insomnia ? I ve been having problems sleeping about midway through taking 7 days of cephalexin. I finished taking this past wednesday and still having problems sleeping. I didn t have these problems before going on this drug for a urinary tract infection. How long does it take for the cephalexin to completely be removed from my system ? Thanks for the help

Cefalexin is a commonly prescribed antibiotic and it doesn't cause insomnia or any other sleep related problem as side effect. Half life of Cephalexin is eight hours and it is excreted completely in one day. The insomnia may be due to some other cause and have to be evaluated if persist.
