When I saw my doctor yesterday, I told his nurse I wanted my urine run because I am just feeling lousy. There was a tiny bit of blood and white blood cells in the urine....also A month ago and a week ago I also had rigor...he told he he thinks it is an infection and gave me Cefdinir. I was reading the side affects and it not only says diarrhea but also diarrhea may occur weeks to months after taking drug. I am mobility challenged and walk very slow. This side affect has me very concerned. I have expressed my concern to my doctor but he says most antibiotics have the same side affects. What would you do if you were me? I am going away next week and sure wouldn t want horrible diarrhea. Thanks, in advance, for helping me.
* Cefdinir is known to disturb the GI flora and cause diarrhea.
* The further doses of Cefdinir should be withheld and intake of prebiotics with lactobacillus must be initiated immediately.
* Contact office of your doc for the replacement molecule for the same to tackle the underlying issue.
