Hello!
Welcome to HealthcareMagic!
I can understand your concern regarding the safety of Celecoxib.
Celecoxib is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) a
COX-2 inhibitor, which relieves pain and swelling (inflammation). It is used to treat arthritis, acute pain, post operative pain and
menstrual pain. Its most common side effects include
dyspepsia, increase blood pressure,
thrombosis (clot formation), weight gain, swelling of the hands or feet, and kidney problems (such as change in the amount of urine). It is not known to cause
tachycardia.
Since you had been cardioverted twice so, I would advice you to consult your doctor immediately for proper evaluation to find out the cause of tachycardia.
Wishing you best of your health.
A feed back is appreciated.
Take Care!
Regards!
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
