Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a bad infection in my toe. I was given ciprofloxacin for two months. I ended it at the beginning of March. I told the nurse and doctors at the hospital, I was having severe pain in my joints. It got worse I can t hardly walk now. My back of both knees feel like someone is pulling my legs off. What should I do. The last time I tried to go to the doctor at Cleveland clinic, they told me they wanted to give me cortisone shots. Is it likely I have damage from the ciprofloxacin, and if so what should I do

Does Ciprofloxacin Cause Pain In The Joints?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. You can take Aceclofenac in pain persists. It is not surely say that it is side effect of Ciprofloxacin. If not resolved then consult the doctor. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
