Hallow Dear, Co-codamaol is a medicine which contains Codeine + Paracetamol while Panadol is plain Paracetamol. Both these medicines are pain killers and they have no action and role what so ever in terminating pregnancy at any stage. Also, punching yourself on the abdomen or such methods are not for terminating the pregnancy; they are too cruel way which will hurt you a lot, and that too may be without the desired effect. Please do not go for such brutal ways. There are scientific ways to terminate the pregnancy of 15 weeks duration. However, they should be implemented only in a hospital and by an Gynaecologist lest the risk to the life due to uncontrollable bleeding, rupture of the uterus, infection, etc. According to WHO recommendations, following are the options for conducting termination of pregnancy of 15 weeks duration: 1. Medical Abortion: a. Tab. Mifepristone single dose followed by Tab. Misoprostol. There are two regimes for this combination. b. Misoprostol alone. By both these regimes, the foetus/products of conception should pass after 8-10 hours. If they have not, then there is likelihood that they are stuck up in the cervix ad vagina and the doctor has to remove it by manually. They are not over the counter medicines and require Gynaecologist s prescription to obtain the. At this stage of pregnancy, they you have to be in the admitted in a health care facility. 2. Surgical Technique: Dilatation of the cervix and the evacuation of uterine cavity 3. Tough not recommended by WHO now, in some places, one more method is practised for termination of pregnancy between 14 weeks to 20 weeks. Extra-amniotic instillation of Ethacredine lactate: This method is not practised at many places today. At 15 weeks, this procedure has very limited success and more failure rate. In many countries, there is legal limit for termination of pregnancy. Now you are 15 weeks pregnant. You should not cross the limit lest you will have to go for full term delivery.
