Does Cyclobenzaprine Cause Severe Depression And Discomfort In The Leg Muscles?
Can or does cyclobenzaprine cause severe depression? Also, does it cause a strange winding up sensation of nerves and muscles in the legs and arms? I have taken it for severe muscle spasms for several years. I go off of it for a few months then resume taking it. My prescription is 10 mg 3x daily, but I take only one or two at bedtime so as not to be awakened every night in agony with spasms. When I resume taking it, I have the leg and arm sensations described until my body re-acclimates itself to it. Is there another medication with fewer or less bothersome side effects?

I've gone through your question regarding Cyclobenzaprine and I can understand your concern, but I can assure you Cyclobenzaprine does not cause severe depression.
Although increased heartbeats and mood changes may be there. If you are experiencing leg and arm sensations you can start taking NSAID such as Ibuprofen and a muscle relaxant.
