Does Cyproheptadine Interact With Chlorpheniramine And Acetaminophen?

My daughter takes cyproheptadine. Can she also take one of those mulit symptom over the counter medications to relieve cold symptoms? This has Acetaminophen, Chlorpheniramine maleate, Dextromethorphan hydrobromide, and Phenylephrine hydrochloride in it.

Hello!

Cyproheptadine and Phenylephrine, chlorpheniramine when taken together are sometimes known to increase drowsiness, lethargy and fatigue. Rarely has it seen to cause constipation, dry mouth , heat intolerance and hot flushes. It's wiser to use both before bed time as it won't affect your routine.

There are no scientific data to show acetaminophen and cyproheptadine to cause adverse reactions. So you must be safe on that

Dr. Karan Shekar.
