Does Depo-Provera Injection Delay Menopause?

Hello, i am a 48 yr old female who was on the depo shot since 2007, i stopped the shot nov 2013 was wondering does being on the depo delay menopause my mom went through menopause at age 55 will i still go through menopause at age 55 or later, since i was on the depo for 6 years

The use of depo provera will not delay the onset of your menopause.

In addition, it is unfortunately impossible to predict what age you would become menopausal.
Menopause is diagnosed after a year of no menstrual bleeding. The time prior to that is called perimenopause.

During perimenopause your period would change in frequency and intensity,the changes vary from one person to the next.
