Hi, I hv been effected with h alopecia for last 6 years. I have lost my 90% facial hair and hair on my body I have tried a lot of treatments, Ayurvedic, homeopathy, etc. But, there was no positive signs for the hair growth. Now, a doctor in India has prescribed Hair 4 U(Morning and Night), Diptovate plus(Noon) and Keraglo Men(1 tablet daily) for my treatment. In what way does Diprovate Plus cure Alopecia?? Will the prescribed medicine be able to cure the stage of Alopecia I am currently in??
Hi. As per your case history you are having alopecia aerata. My treatment advice is - 1. Take good nutritious diet full of green leafy vegetables and milk. 2. Apply a tacrolimus 0.03 % ointment twice daily on affected skin. 3. Take a vitamin b12 supplement once daily for 3 months. 4. Diprovate cream contains steroid which may cause skin thinning in longer run. So it is better to avoid it. 5. Other treatment options are oral steroid, levamisole taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
