Does Duoluton-L Cause Infertility?

Hello doctor am 25, I am having periods six months only, with heavy bleeding as per my doctor s suggestion I have started using doulouton l tablet, am going to get marry now, some people said I can t get pregnant for next 3 years? Is doulouton l impact?

Hello,

Duoluton L is a combination Estrogen and Progesterone pill, which can help regularize periods. However, it also suppresses ovulation and prevents conception.
If you plan on getting pregnant, discontinue Duoluton-L so that ovulation is restored. After discontinuation of pills, ovulation starts no later than 6 months in almost everyone.
