Does Duphaston Help Treat Ovarian Cysts?

I had intercourse with my husband after missing my period the month prior. Every time we would have intercourse I would have some light bleeding.I went for a scanning and the results were,I had multiple ovarian cysts.I was given a Duphaston dose to take.could this help remove the cysts and make me get pregnant? Kindly help.

Duphaston contains progesterone which helps in maintaining the progesterone levels in second half of the cycle.
It will help in preventing inter menstrual spotting, regularization of menstrual cycle and if pregnancy occurs it will help in maintaining the pregnancy.
Usually the treatment of PCOD is subjective, generally combined oral contraceptive pills are prescribed to reduce the ovarian cysts but sometimes progesterone only pills can also be prescribed.
Physical exercise, insulin sensitizers can also help.
Regular follow-ups are needed to monitor the condition of cysts and if needed you can go for ovulation induction with your doctor's advice.
