Kindly help.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Duphaston contains progesterone which helps in maintaining the progesterone levels in second half of the cycle. It will help in preventing inter menstrual spotting, regularization of menstrual cycle and if pregnancy occurs it will help in maintaining the pregnancy. Usually the treatment of PCOD is subjective, generally combined oral contraceptive pills are prescribed to reduce the ovarian cysts but sometimes progesterone only pills can also be prescribed. Physical exercise, insulin sensitizers can also help. Regular follow-ups are needed to monitor the condition of cysts and if needed you can go for ovulation induction with your doctor's advice.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
