Does Elavil Help With Sleep And Depression Problems?
Does Elavil help you sleep? I had no idea it was for people who are depressed. I am now worried because I was born with transposition of the great arteries, pulmonary stenosis and ventricular septal defect. Please help. I also take Ativan for sleep. I am 58 years old if that helps. I didn t read all of the terms and conditions but I will when I have more time. If you cannot answer because of this I will write to you some other time when I have read the terms and conditions.

I understand your query.
Elavil is an antidepressant drug.It has no role in inducing sleep,Even Ativan is alprazolam, again having antidepressant effect.Both the drugs compliment each others action to remove your depression & you get a sound sleep.
You congenital cardiovascular problems have no bar in taking these drugs.
