Does Elmiron Cause Anemia?
I have been taking Elmiron for 8 months. I had a major red blood cell drop. I have been going to a hemmatol ogist Had an IVIG infusion been on prednisone. My hair has started to fall out. Can Elmiron be the cause of my Anemia. The doctor is considering removing my spleen as my body has been attacking and killing my red blood cells.

Elmiron is known to cause bleeding through urine,and stool, which may cause anemia.
Get your urine and stool for occult blood tested, if you are bleeding through them or not the reports will show.
Your doctor is best judge for removing spleen or not, as he has be following you through.
