Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
good morning sir my sister uses this tablets called encorate chrono 300, she lately stopped it using as her friend said that the body will get poisoned. Now the consequences have got worse she suffered from shivering this morning and the impact was quite high. We suggested her to continue the tablets and is that true that the liver will get infected because of these tablets?
Hello Welcome here. Encorate chrono can affect liver functions but serious toxicity is a rare side effect. The important thing to note here is that why your sister was started with encorate. The possible reasons could be a mood disorder, epilepsy or migraine. If the drug was started for any of these reasons, you must not stop her drugs without doctor's advice. These illnesses require long term treatment. The risk of side effects of drug are not so serious as are the consequences of illness.
Consult you treating doctor and discuss these issues. Hope this helps, Thanks
