Does Ginet And Minocycline Cause Dry And Sensitive Skin Around The Mouth?
I take both the birth control tablet “ginet” and an antibiotic called monocycline to combat my acne. After taking them both for about a year now my skin is reasonably clear from break outs etc but I’ve noticed that I occasionally get severely dry and sensitive skin around my mouth and chin area about once a month (not when I’m on my period) and no topical treatments helps to hydrate or prevent it. The area gets red, irritated, cracked and flakey and I’m wondering if it may be a side affect from the pill and if so what I can do to treat it?
Treatment of any existing infection condition as lice , fungus or else . Regular use of protein rich conditioners .
Avoid commercial dye applications ( can use only natural henna) .
Avoid exposure to excess heat . Keep your blood sugar , body weight , BP under control . Regular walking in fresh air , deep breathing exercises , YOGA help great .
Consult later your dermatologist as per the requirement.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
