Does Ginkgo Biloba Cause Light Headedness?

I have experiencing light headiness for approximately about 10 years. Have had many tests and x-rays etc. but they have come up with nothing.. Today I looked at Ginkgo Biloba on WebMD and discovered that there are some side effects. I have been taking 120mg of ginkgo for years. Could that be my problem? My doctors never suggested it. I have suffered with this feeling in my head for years and now I m unsteady on my feet. I am desperate for a diagnosis so I can treat the problem any suggestions??

Hello,

Ok, a symptom legitimately has to have a cause. There can be psychological lightheadedness which is a lot like panic attacks. Not likely to be the ginko.

Then there is a change in blood pressure; again not likely to be ginko unless maybe. Allergic to it?

Of course, the ginko is out of the system in days to 1 week. It is a pretty good stroke preventer but could certainly be stopped.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
