Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been taking glucosamine at a load up dose of 2250 mg daily. The past few days I have had pain in my groin area as well as in my hands. I woke up this morning with a very painful erection that was curved upward roughly 80-90 degrees. Is this a side effect of the glucosamine and should I discontinue use? I m also on carvedilol 2.5 mg. Not sure if the combination of the 2 is bad or what is going on. This is a very rapidly progressing condition that I have.

Does Glucosamine Cause Pain In The Groin Area?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. These effects are not associated with Glucosamine. The dose is high and should be leveled to thrice a day. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
