I hit my head this morning and have had a bad headache all day. I got dizzy once right before lunch but I was hungry and I have felt better since except for the headache. I don t want to go to an ER unless its really necessary. If I might have a mild concussion, can I just take some ibuprofen and see if the headache goes away and I don t have any other symptoms?
I went through the history you have provided here. It seems from the history that you are having headache. Headache can be treated symptomatically by use of analgesic drugs like ibuprofen. Ibuprofen being a analgesic drug will provide symptomatic relief. But the underlying cause for headache needs to be evaluated and treated accordingly. The common causes for headache are sinusitis, refractive errors of the eye, primary headaches.... Hence you need to consult your physician doctor for evaluation and treatment. Do write back to me for further questions. Hope this is helpful to you. Wishing you a good health and speedy recovery.
