Does Lipitor Cause Pea Colored Stool?

Hi. I have been taking the generic for Lipitor for a month now and the last two days I have had pea colored stools. They have been soft but not loose and I have no other pain or discomfort. Just wondering if the color could be caused by the new statin, thanks

It is unlikely that lipitor could cause pea colored stools. However rarely lipitor can cause liver damage which can result in jaundice. Under such circumstance there is a possibility of pea colored stools. If the urine also dark yellow in color, it is better to investigate for liver function test. If there is evidence of liver damage then it is wise to stop lipitor for sometime.
