Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello doctor, My skin is getting very dark, so i suggested by my friend that use skin light cream - liva for bright skin. I have started to use it almost two days. In meantime I have checked online about side effects of this cream, I got shocked..most of them suggesting not to use. is it really not right choise ?..Please let me know which cream is best for permanent brighter skin ( with out side effects ) Thankyou doctor for your time.
Live skin cream has mometasone as one of it's constituents. Mometasone is a steroid and it's not desirable to apply steroids because it has innumerable side effects. It may weaken your skin or cause infections over long term. This cream is usually prescribed for getting rid of dark circles. I would recommend you to tone down your aspiration for permanent brighter skin. I advice my patients that the hype of brighter skin is more of an industry created hype and ask them to be proud of their skin colour. If you are still persistent, then you can contact your dermatologist and ask for non-steroid containing creams. Hope the above information helps you. Thanks.
