Does Lupron Contraindicate Strength Training Using Resistance?

Does the drug lupron for prostate cancer treatment contraindicate strength training using resistance? I am a physical therapist and my patient seem to believe that he feels weaker, unsteadier when he walks and sore mainly on his legs even after a week since the injection of the drug. Thank you.

Yeah, it's the opposite of testosterone and it will have some consequences on muscles. Being female doesn't mean you cannot do exercise and cannot improve muscle strength and tone so it should not be a contra-indication here (and it is not mentioned as a usual contraindication). It IS however, mentioned as a side effect of lower muscles. This is probably a reason to DO exercise rather than to avoid it and the effects of lupron are probably more if you do NOT exercse.
